Lessons are the fastest and most effective method for a student to progress on the trumpet. Studying with Mr. Price will allow students the opportunity to get regular feedback on their playing which will help build good playing habits. Students of Mr. Price have reported great success in their curricular band programs and some have gone on to audition for and perform in extra curricular ensembles such as the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra.
Daniel’s teaching philosophy is quite simple, yet very effective. He strives to help each of his students learn how to teach themselves. Because he can only see each student for a brief window of time each week, he encourages each of his students to be diligently self-reflective of their playing all the time. Combining this mindset with the wealth of tools and experience that Mr. Price can provide has allowed his students to achieve great successes.
Though Orchestral Music is his specialty, Daniel has performed and can help students with a wide variety of musical styles including Jazz, Concert Band, Chamber Music, Solo Repertoire, Musical Theater, and Rock/Commercial.
